A Romantic History
The Villa Marco Polo Inn was built in 1923 as a wedding gift to a young bride, Helen Nation. Designed by P. Leonard James, its eclectic style, described as Italian Renaissance from the front, Georgian from the back, reflects the architect’s changing approach to design.
It was made into a bed and breakfast, the Amadeus Mozart House, in 2000. Clarke and Eliza bought it in 2003, and Liam assumed the position of Managing Innkeeper shortly thereafter.
After major redecoration and substantial upgrades, the property was re-branded Villa Marco Polo Inn in April 2004.
